When it came down to planning Kelsey and Mike's engagement session, it seemed like a no brainer to go to the beach. They are getting married at Kelsey's family's cottage outside of Grand Bend, Ontario, so it made sense to do the engagement session at Mike's parents cottage just up the road. Spread the love a little bit! They wanted to head to the bush first for a few with their best friend Molly. Since we were going to be at private cottages, I knew this was my chance to finally do a beach campfire shoot, I've been wanting to do one for years. I asked Kelsey and she agreed it was a go!
The day finally came and the weather wasn't exactly the greatest forecast one could hope for, but we figured we would go ahead and hope for the best. When we arrived to the beach it decided to pour rain, we were a bit skeptical but still had hope. 20 mins later we are down on the beach, we got about 15 minutes into the shoot when it started raining again. We almost called it quits, but again, had hope. I'm so glad we did, we got the most unique sunset I've seen in a while. While it isn't the typical Grand Bend sunset, it was certainly fun and different!
