Cara + Trevor - Port Stanley Wedding
Cara + Trevor
October 20th, 2018
Port Stanley, Ontario Wedding
Cara and Trevor were married on her parents 32nd wedding anniversary. They were married at the very same church that her parents got married in in St Thomas, Ontario. When I started the day, it was pouring rain outside. Everyone seemed a bit nervous about how things would work out for photos, people naturally worry when the sun isn’t shining, however, sometimes you just have to have faith! As luck would have it, when we exited the church, the rain had stopped momentarily, giving us enough time to do some portraits! The reception was in Port Stanley, so of course we had to make a quick trip to the beach! I have to say, October at the beach isn’t particularly warm, especially with the wind coming off the lake. Cara was a freaking trooper though, she braved that freezing cold for at least ten minutes! I’m grateful that she is such a trooper, intense weather makes for incredible photographs, and I love what we captured for them that day.
These portraits are seriously some of my favourite of the entire season, and Cara’s bridal portraits taken at the Port Stanley beach take my breath away (because it was so cold, that my breath was physically taken away, and I’m in total awe that she could be even colder than I was and still look like a total babe)! This Port Stanley wedding was amazing for so many reasons; the stunning beach portraits, the first dance with their beautiful daughter Baby I., and the sentimental ceremony where Trevor accidentally said “receive this ring as a sign of my love and INfidelity”, instead of fidelity, making Cara bust out laughing for the rest of the ceremony. The fidelity slip has to be the best/ funniest thing that happened all season!
