Sherelle + Dean
Elora Gorge Engagement Session
Photography by: Amy Taylor Photography, a Kitchener area wedding photographer
When Sherelle and Dean first got engaged, they were thinking of getting married near the Elora Gorge. Then plans changed and we decided that Elora would be the perfect location for their engagement session! With the Gorge, the adorable town, and an amazing countryside, Elora has a lot to offer.
I first met Sherelle through a facebook group for newborn photographers in the area, over time I began to recognize her name and always associated her with having such a positive peppy attitude. We finally met in person when she so sweetly volunteered to come assist me with a twin’s newborn session, how sweet is that! A few months later, we are hanging out, shooting a somewhat sexy shoot on the beach in the freezing cold. I’ve never laughed so hard in my life, than when a passer by said “I’ve never said anything so hot and so cold in my entire life”, it was so creepy it was actually funny. Flash forward a year and I get a message with the most enthusiasm I have ever received. Sherelle was ecstatic about her engagement to Dean and couldn’t wait to plan their wedding and their lives together.
Though our original plans for our Elora Gorge engagement shoot, didn’t exactly pan out (the conservation area takes your money for a day pass, but doesn’t bother mentioning that one whole side of the Gorge isn’t accessible, which is of course the side with access…). We made the best of disappointing news and headed out on another adventure to access from another spot; throw in my favourite “valley” area, and a covered bridge that Dean had discovered and we had ourselves a pretty amazing shoot!
